Lillie Ross

Lillie Ross is a resident of Wheaton, Illinois. She is 16 years old and currently attends Wheaton Warrenville South High School as a junior. Lillie is a hard worker, consistently earning straight A's in school and riding four horses 4 to 5 days per week. Lillie has competed riding several horses in the hunter and jumper divisions. Highlights include winning several $1,500 to $5,000 Low Junior Amateur Owner Classics in 2009 and 2010, and winning 1st or 2nd in several $10,000 High Junior Amateur Owner Classics in 2010. In March 2010, Lillie began competing in Welcome Stakes and Grand Prix competitions.

Lillie currently rides two Grand Prix horses. Pako is a 14 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding that Lillie has recently partnered with in December 2010. He is out of sire, Farmer, and dam Epris. In 2010, Pako became the first American horse to win the La Baule Derby in France with his previous owner, Richard Spooner. Lillie and Pako won their first Grand Prix and placed 2nd in the Welcome Stakes class at the Lake St. Louis National Equestrian Center in Wentzville, Missouri in January 2011. Lillie also rides Armstrong, a 15 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding. He is out of sire, Armstrong, and dam Femke. Lillie and Armstrong competed on the 2010 Prix des States team for Zone 5 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where they won the team bronze medal. Lillie has been riding Armstrong for 4 years.
